Overview
SipStreak ("the app") is a minimal, gamified water intake tracker for iOS. It helps you log daily water consumption, maintain hydration streaks, and track progress toward a personalized daily goal. SipStreak stores hydration data, reminder settings, and preferences on your device. The free version may show Google AdMob ads. This policy explains what data SipStreak accesses, what stays on-device, and what is shared with third-party services.
SipStreak is developed and operated by TheChosenVictor LLC ("we," "us," "our"). Victor Solano owns TheChosenVictor LLC.
Data We Access
HealthKit (opt-in)
When you enable HealthKit integration in Settings, the app reads body mass (to suggest a daily goal) and writes dietary water intake entries to Apple Health. HealthKit access is entirely opt-in. If you decline or never enable it, the app functions fully without it. No health data leaves your device or is sent to any server.
In-App Purchases
SipStreak offers a one-time, non-consumable purchase ("SipStreak Pro") that unlocks 7 additional cosmetic themes. Purchases are processed entirely through Apple's StoreKit 2 framework. We do not handle or store payment information.
Notifications (opt-in)
When you enable hydration reminders in Settings, the app schedules local notifications at your chosen interval with configurable quiet hours. These are local-only. There is no push notification server, and no notification data is sent externally.
Advertising and Consent
The free version of SipStreak may show Google AdMob ads. SipStreak uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK to request and display ads and the Google User Messaging Platform SDK to collect and manage consent where required.
These Google SDKs may process information such as device identifiers, the device advertising identifier when permitted, IP address, coarse location derived from IP address, advertising data, app interactions, crash logs, diagnostics, and performance data for ad delivery, ad measurement, fraud prevention, and service improvement.
Water entries, streak history, HealthKit data, reminder settings, daily goals, weight, activity level, and glass presets are not sent to Google for ad targeting.
For users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, SipStreak uses Google's certified consent management flow before requesting ads when consent is required. Users can consent, decline consent, or manage options in the consent message. If privacy options are required in your region, SipStreak also provides a privacy options entry point in Settings.
Where required for personalized advertising, SipStreak uses Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before requesting permission to track. If you allow tracking, ads may be personalized based on your activity across other apps and websites. If you deny tracking, non-personalized or limited ads may be shown. You can change your tracking preference at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
Data We Store On Device
SipStreak stores the following data locally on your device:
- SwiftData: Water entries (amount, glass size, timestamp), streak records (daily totals, goal status, streak counts), user profile (weight, activity level, daily goal, unit preference), and glass presets (named sizes with icons).
- UserDefaults: Theme selection, unit preference, reminder settings, quiet hours, HealthKit toggle state, and onboarding completion flag.
- App Group UserDefaults: Widget data (today's intake, daily goal, streak count, theme) shared between the main app and the WidgetKit extension via the shared group
group.com.sipstreak.shared.
None of this app data is synced to any cloud service or backend. There are no user accounts.
Data We Do Not Collect
SipStreak does not collect, transmit, or store any of the following:
- Your name, email address, or phone number
- Your precise GPS location
- Contacts or calendar data
- Browsing history
- HealthKit data unless you explicitly enable HealthKit access
- App-owned analytics or usage telemetry outside the ad delivery described above

Google processes advertising data in accordance with their Ads Data Processing Terms. Google acts as a data processor for certain advertising data and as an independent data controller for other data, as described in their terms.
Data Retention
- On-device SipStreak data is retained until you explicitly clear it within the app or uninstall the app.
- HealthKit data written to Apple Health is retained by Apple Health until you remove it there.
- AdMob data is retained by Google per their data retention policies.
- StoreKit purchase records are retained by Apple per their policies.
Data Deletion
You can delete all app data at any time:
- In-app: Open Settings and use the "Clear All Data" button in the Danger Zone section. This permanently removes all water entries, streak records, and user profile data.
- Uninstall: Removing SipStreak from your device deletes all locally stored data (SwiftData database and UserDefaults).
- HealthKit: Water intake entries written to Apple Health persist independently. To remove them, open the Apple Health app and delete the entries manually.
To request deletion of any data processed by Google AdMob, refer to Google's Privacy Policy for details on data deletion and your rights.
Your Rights
For All Users
You may:
- Access your data by viewing your water entries, streaks, and settings within the app.
- Delete your data at any time using Settings > Danger Zone > Clear All Data, which permanently removes all water entries, streak records, and user profile data from the device.
- Control ad tracking by changing your preference in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking, or by changing ad consent preferences in SipStreak Settings where privacy options are available.
European Economic Area (GDPR)
If you are located in the EEA, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation:
- Right to access (Art. 15): request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification (Art. 16): request correction of inaccurate data.
- Right to erasure (Art. 17): request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").
- Right to restrict processing (Art. 18): request that we limit how we use your data.
- Right to data portability (Art. 20): request a machine-readable copy of your data.
- Right to object (Art. 21): object to processing of your data for certain purposes.
- Right to withdraw consent (Art. 7): withdraw your ad tracking or ad personalization consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
Since SipStreak stores app data locally on your device with no backend and no user accounts, you already have direct control over your SipStreak data. Use Settings > Danger Zone > Clear All Data to exercise your right to erasure for local app data. HealthKit entries must be removed separately via the Apple Health app. For data processed by Google AdMob, contact Google directly using their privacy tools.
For EEA users, Google acts as an independent data controller for the advertising data it collects through AdMob. TheChosenVictor LLC acts as the data controller for the SipStreak app. You may contact us at [email protected] for any GDPR-related requests.
Data Protection Contact: TheChosenVictor LLC handles privacy requests for this app. A separate Data Protection Officer is not designated for the scale and nature of the processing described here. For all data protection inquiries, contact [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act gives you:
- Right to know: what personal information is collected and how it is used.
- Right to delete: request deletion of your personal information.
- Right to opt-out of sale/sharing: opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information.
- Right to non-discrimination: equal service regardless of whether you exercise your privacy rights.
SipStreak does not sell your personal information. You can opt out at any time by denying tracking in the iOS App Tracking Transparency prompt, changing your preference in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking, or changing ad consent preferences in SipStreak Settings where privacy options are available.
To exercise any CCPA rights, contact us at [email protected].
Children's Privacy
SipStreak is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we discover that a child under 13 has somehow provided personal information, we will delete it promptly.
