How TheChosenVictor LLC handles website data, subscriber access, cookies, analytics, and legal privacy requests on TheChosenVictor.com.

01. Data Controller
TheChosenVictor LLC is the data controller for personal data processed through this website and its subscriber systems.

02. Data We Collect
Email Address
If you subscribe to the newsletter, we collect your email address. Subscription is voluntary and requires confirmation (double opt-in).
Support and Feedback
If you send feedback or a bug report through one of our app support forms, we store the app name, category, message, submission source, timestamp, and a one-way hash of your IP address. You may also choose to include your email address and device information. We use this data to respond to the request, investigate the issue, and prevent abuse.
Analytics
We use Umami, a self-hosted, cookie-free analytics platform. Umami does not collect any personally identifiable information. It does not use cookies, fingerprinting, or cross-site tracking. All analytics data is aggregated and anonymous.
We also use the Google Ads tag to measure the performance of paid advertising campaigns for this website. The tag is configured with Consent Mode defaults that deny ad storage, ad user data, ad personalization, and analytics storage unless consent is provided. You can allow or limit Google Ads measurement and personalization from the site banner or the control below. Google may still receive limited technical information such as page URL, referrer, browser details, IP address, and campaign identifiers for measurement and fraud prevention under Google's own policies. When consent is allowed, TheChosenVictor LLC may share consented advertising and conversion signals with Google for ad measurement, optimization, remarketing, and Customer Match features. We do not upload customer lists unless the data source and required consent basis have been confirmed.
Newsletter forms may also include an optional Customer Match checkbox. If you select it and confirm your subscription, we may include your email address in a Google Ads Customer Match upload. If you do not select it, your email address is used only for the newsletter and subscriber access.

Free Browser Tools
Tool inputs and files are processed locally in your browser. They are not uploaded to our servers. If you use the recent-tools feature, your browser stores only the tool slug and the time you used it in local storage. You can remove that record through your browser settings.
Umami may receive a limited tool event containing the tool slug, output type, a broad item-count range, or an error code. Tool analytics never includes the text, files, choices, financial values, or other content you provide to a tool.
IP Addresses
Raw IP addresses are processed in memory for rate limiting and are cleared automatically on an hourly cycle. When you submit an app support or feedback form, a SHA-256 hash of the IP address is stored with the feedback record for abuse prevention. The stored value cannot be used to recover the original IP address.
03. Cookies
This website uses two functional cookies for subscriber access. The Google Ads tag is configured not to store advertising or analytics cookies unless consent is provided through the Google Ads measurement and personalization preference.

04. Third-Party Processors
We use Resend to deliver newsletter emails and route app support messages. When you subscribe, your email address is shared with Resend for newsletter delivery. When you send feedback, the submitted message and any optional contact details are sent through Resend to our support inbox. You can review Resend's privacy policy for details on how they handle data.
We also use Google Ads for campaign measurement. Google may process limited technical and advertising measurement data under its own policies. We do not use social media trackers, and we do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
05. Data Storage
Newsletter subscriber data and app feedback records are stored in a PostgreSQL database on a self-hosted virtual private server (Hetzner, EU/Germany). The server is maintained and secured by TheChosenVictor LLC.
06. Data Retention
- Email addresses: Stored until you unsubscribe. Unsubscribing removes your email from the active subscriber database and clears the subscriber cookies. Email delivery providers may retain limited records as required for security, suppression, or legal compliance.
- Support and feedback: Stored while needed to address the request, maintain support history, and prevent abuse. You may ask us to delete a feedback record by contacting us from the email address associated with it.
- Rate limiting data: Raw IP addresses are processed in memory and cleared on an hourly cycle. One-way IP hashes submitted with feedback are retained with the corresponding feedback record.
- Analytics: Aggregated, anonymous data retained by self-hosted Umami. No personal data is included.
07. Your Rights (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Erasure: Request deletion of your data. For newsletter subscribers, unsubscribing removes the address from the active subscriber database.
- Portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format.
- Objection: Object to processing of your data.

08. Your Rights (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act:
- Right to Know: You may request details about the personal information we collect and how it is used.
- Right to Delete: You may request deletion of your personal information.
- Right to Opt-Out of Sale: We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Contact us if you want to opt out of optional advertising-related processing where applicable.

09. Children's Privacy
This website is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact [email protected] and we will promptly delete it.
