Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using UnitFlip ("the app"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the app.

UnitFlip is developed and operated by TheChosenVictor LLC ("we," "us," "our"). Victor Solano owns TheChosenVictor LLC.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use UnitFlip. By using the app, you represent that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agrees to these Terms on your behalf.

Description of Service

UnitFlip is an iOS application that converts measurements across categories including length, weight, volume, temperature, speed, digital storage, time, cooking, fuel economy, pressure, angle, and currency. The app includes:

Live conversion with instant results as you type
Swap button to flip conversion direction in one tap
12 unit categories with 80+ individual units
Favorites for quick access to saved conversion pairs
Pro features (one-time purchase) including additional categories, live currency sync, and unlimited favorites

All data is stored locally on your device. There are no user accounts, no cloud sync, and no backend servers.

In-App Purchases

UnitFlip offers a one-time, non-consumable "Pro" upgrade through Apple's App Store. This purchase unlocks fuel economy, pressure, and angle categories, daily currency rate sync, and unlimited favorite conversion pairs. It is processed by Apple, subject to Apple's App Store Terms and Conditions.

Pricing is displayed before purchase and may vary by region.
Refunds are handled by Apple. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.
Restore previous purchases via Settings > Restore Purchase.

Conversion Accuracy

UnitFlip uses standard conversion factors for all measurement categories. Temperature conversions use established formulas (Celsius, Fahrenheit, Kelvin). Currency rates are sourced from third-party providers and may not reflect real-time market rates.

UnitFlip is not intended for use in situations where conversion accuracy is critical to safety, health, financial transactions, or regulatory compliance. Always verify important conversions with authoritative sources.

Data Loss Disclaimer

UnitFlip stores all favorites, preferences, and cached currency rates locally on your device. There is no cloud backup and no account system.

Your data will be lost if:

You uninstall the app
You perform a factory reset on your device
Your device is lost, stolen, or destroyed

We cannot recover your data under any circumstances.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app.
Use the app for any unlawful purpose.
Attempt to interfere with the app's normal operation.
Exploit bugs, vulnerabilities, or unintended behavior for unfair advantage.

Intellectual Property

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes subject to these Terms.

Disclaimer of Warranties

UnitFlip is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

The app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
Unit conversions will be accurate in all conditions or for all use cases.
Currency rates will reflect real-time market values.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, TheChosenVictor LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the app.

This includes, without limitation:

Loss of favorites or preferences due to device loss, app uninstall, or any other cause.
Inaccurate conversions or currency rates leading to financial or other losses.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the app shall not exceed the amount you paid for the app (including in-app purchases) in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Apple End User License Agreement Terms

This agreement is between you and TheChosenVictor LLC, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for UnitFlip or its content.

1. Acknowledgement

These Terms constitute an agreement between you and TheChosenVictor LLC only, and not with Apple. TheChosenVictor LLC, not Apple, is solely responsible for UnitFlip and its content.

2. Scope of License

The license granted to you for UnitFlip is limited to a non-transferable license to use UnitFlip on any Apple-branded device that you own or control and as permitted by the Usage Rules set forth in the Apple Media Services Terms of Service.

3. Maintenance and Support

TheChosenVictor LLC is solely responsible for providing any maintenance and support services for UnitFlip, as specified in these Terms or as required under applicable law. Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance and support services with respect to UnitFlip.

4. Warranty

TheChosenVictor LLC is solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law, to the extent not effectively disclaimed. In the event of any failure of UnitFlip to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price for UnitFlip to you. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple will have no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to UnitFlip, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses attributable to any failure to conform to any warranty will be TheChosenVictor LLC's sole responsibility.

5. Product Claims

TheChosenVictor LLC, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims you or any third party may have relating to UnitFlip or your possession and/or use of UnitFlip, including but not limited to: (i) product liability claims; (ii) any claim that UnitFlip fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement; and (iii) claims arising under consumer protection, privacy, or similar legislation.

6. Intellectual Property Claims

TheChosenVictor LLC, not Apple, is responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of any third-party intellectual property infringement claim relating to UnitFlip or your possession and use of UnitFlip.

7. Legal Compliance

You represent and warrant that (i) you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo or that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a "terrorist supporting" country; and (ii) you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

8. Third-Party Beneficiary

Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms. Upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary thereof.

9. Third-Party Terms of Agreement

You must comply with applicable third-party terms of agreement when using UnitFlip.

Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the app at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or us.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in the State of Florida.

If you are a consumer in the European Union, nothing in this section affects your rights under mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence.

General Provisions

Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

Entire Agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding UnitFlip and supersede any prior agreements.

Assignment. You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights without restriction.

Waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that provision or any other provision.

Notices. We may provide notices to you through the app or by updating these Terms. You are responsible for reviewing the Terms periodically.

Force Majeure. We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, internet or infrastructure failures, or third-party service outages.
