How NightHours handles local permit-hour logs, optional location, backups, exports, purchases, and support correspondence.

NightHours is a local-first iPhone log of supervised learner-permit hours. No account, no ads, and no tracking.
NightHours is developed and operated by TheChosenVictor LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). Victor Solano owns TheChosenVictor LLC.
The following data is stored locally on your device:
TheChosenVictor LLC does not operate a NightHours account, hosted database, or cloud-sync service. We cannot view, recover, or edit the log stored by the app.
If you start a drive with location, or turn on automatic detection, NightHours uses location to record the drive and to estimate sunset at that coordinate. You can log drives manually without granting location. Automatic detection needs Always location and uses more battery; it can miss the start of a trip or log a ride where you were a passenger, so you should check the log before you export.
NightHours does not sell location data and does not use it for advertising.
You control location permission in iOS Settings.
If you enable remaining-hours reminders, NightHours schedules them locally through iOS. No reminder payload is sent to a NightHours server.
If you enable App Lock, iOS performs the Face ID, Touch ID, or device-passcode check. NightHours does not receive or store your biometric data.
NightHours can create a backup through the Files interface. Keep its recovery material private; TheChosenVictor LLC cannot recover it for you.
PDF and CSV exports are not encrypted. They may contain learner names, drive times, notes, and a signature. Files you export or back up are handled by the destination and storage provider you choose, subject to that provider's policies.
Apple processes in-app purchases through the App Store and StoreKit. NightHours does not receive your payment-card or billing credentials. The app may store purchase entitlement state locally so it can unlock purchased features.
NightHours does not use advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, tracking SDKs, a user account, or a log-data backend. We do not sell log data or share it for advertising. There is no remote AI.
The app does not send us data automatically. If you email support, we receive the email address, message, and any details or attachments you choose to send. Email providers process that communication so it can be delivered and answered.
Do not send learner names, coordinates, signatures, backup files, passwords, or recovery material unless they are necessary to your request and you intentionally choose to share them.
On-device data remains until you delete drives, use Delete All Data in Settings, or remove the app. Because there is no NightHours account or data backend, TheChosenVictor LLC cannot restore deleted local data. Files you already saved elsewhere are not deleted automatically.
Support correspondence is retained while needed to handle the request, preserve relevant support history, and prevent abuse. To request deletion of support correspondence, email [email protected] from the address associated with the request.
Apple retains purchase records under its own policies. Files you place with another storage provider remain subject to that provider's controls and retention practices.
NightHours is a family utility for supervised learner-permit hours. It is not directed to children under 13 as a data-collection product. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through a NightHours account, because there is no account.
We may update this policy as NightHours changes. The effective date at the top identifies the current version.
