Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Sortes ("the app"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Sortes is developed and operated by TheChosenVictor LLC ("we," "us," "our"). Victor Solano owns TheChosenVictor LLC.

Description of Service

Sortes is an iPhone decision utility for small, low-stakes choices. It provides coin flips, wheel spins, dice rolls, and local decision history.

Sortes is not legal, financial, medical, safety, gambling, investment, or professional advice. Do not use Sortes as the sole basis for decisions that could affect health, money, legal rights, safety, employment, or other serious matters.

Ads in the Free Version

The free version may show one Google AdMob adaptive banner in the History sheet after onboarding is complete and at least 24 hours have passed since first launch. Sortes does not show interstitial ads, rewarded ads, app-open ads, ads during onboarding, ads on result screens, or ads in the paywall.

Sortes Pro removes the History banner. Advertising behavior and consent handling are described in the Privacy Policy.

In-App Purchases

Sortes offers a one-time, non-consumable "Lifetime Pro" purchase through Apple's App Store. The US launch price is $6.99. Pricing may vary by region, currency, tax, and Apple's storefront rules.

Sortes Pro unlocks unlimited wheel options, custom dice, saved wheel presets, CSV history export, and removal of the free-tier History banner.

Purchases are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple's App Store Terms and Conditions. Refunds are handled by Apple. Restore previous purchases through Settings > Restore Purchases.

Local Data and Data Loss

Sortes stores history, wheel options, wheel presets, settings, and purchase state locally on your device. There is no cloud backup and no account system.

Your local data may be lost if you uninstall the app, delete app data, factory reset your device, or lose access to your device. We cannot recover locally stored app data.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to reverse engineer the app, use it for unlawful activity, interfere with normal operation, exploit bugs, or use Sortes for gambling or regulated wagering.

Intellectual Property

Sortes, including its design, code, graphics, animations, screenshots, copy, and branding, is the intellectual property of TheChosenVictor LLC. All rights reserved.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Sortes for personal, non-commercial purposes subject to these Terms.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Sortes is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any random outcome will produce a useful, fair, profitable, safe, or correct result.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TheChosenVictor LLC shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, goodwill, or opportunity arising from your use of Sortes.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of Sortes shall not exceed the amount you paid for Sortes in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Apple End User License Agreement Terms

This agreement is between you and TheChosenVictor LLC, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for Sortes or its content. Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.

The license granted to you is limited to use on Apple-branded devices that you own or control and as permitted by the Apple Media Services Terms of Service.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the app at any time for conduct that violates these Terms or is harmful to users, us, Apple, or third-party services.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
