Sortes Terms of Service

Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Sortes ("the app"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Sortes is developed and operated by TheChosenVictor LLC ("we," "us," "our"). Victor Solano owns TheChosenVictor LLC.

Description of Service

Sortes is an iPhone decision utility for small, low-stakes choices. The current public release provides coin flips, custom wheel spins, dice rolls, and local decision history.

Sortes is not legal, financial, medical, safety, gambling, investment, or professional advice. Do not use Sortes as the sole basis for decisions that could affect health, money, legal rights, safety, employment, or other serious matters.

Ads

Sortes does not display ads and does not use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.

Purchases

The current public US release is free to download and has no active in-app purchase or subscription. Anyone who bought Sortes as a paid download, or bought the earlier one-time Pro unlock, keeps full lifetime access. Open Settings in Sortes and use Restore Purchases to restore that access.

A later App Store release may offer Sortes Pro through monthly and yearly auto-renewable subscriptions. If subscriptions become available, Apple will display the applicable price, billing period, renewal terms, and any introductory offer before purchase. Existing paid-download and one-time Pro owners keep their lifetime access.

Purchases are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple's App Store Terms and Conditions. If a subscription is available, it renews automatically unless canceled through Apple. Refunds are handled by Apple. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com. StoreKit purchase data stays with Apple.

Local Data and Data Loss

Sortes stores history, wheel options, and settings locally on your device. Sortes does not provide account-based sync or an app-operated backup service. iOS device backups may include app data under Apple's backup settings and policies.

Your local data may be lost if you uninstall the app, delete app data, factory reset your device, or lose access to your device. We cannot recover locally stored app data.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to reverse engineer the app, use it for unlawful activity, interfere with normal operation, exploit bugs, or use Sortes for gambling or regulated wagering.

Intellectual Property

Sortes, including its design, code, graphics, animations, screenshots, copy, and branding, is the intellectual property of TheChosenVictor LLC. All rights reserved.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Sortes for personal, non-commercial purposes subject to these Terms.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Sortes is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any random outcome will produce a useful, fair, profitable, safe, or correct result.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TheChosenVictor LLC shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, goodwill, or opportunity arising from your use of Sortes.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of Sortes shall not exceed the amount you paid for Sortes in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Apple End User License Agreement Terms

This agreement is between you and TheChosenVictor LLC, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for Sortes or its content. Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.

The license granted to you is limited to use on Apple-branded devices that you own or control and as permitted by the Apple Media Services Terms of Service.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the app at any time for conduct that violates these Terms or is harmful to users, us, Apple, or third-party services.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
