Overview

Sortes ("the app") is an iPhone decision utility for coin flips, wheel spins, dice rolls, and local decision history. Sortes stores settings, wheel options, dice configuration, and history on your device.

Sortes is developed and operated by TheChosenVictor LLC ("we," "us," "our"). Victor Solano owns TheChosenVictor LLC.

Data We Access

Purchases

The current public US release is free to download and has no active in-app purchase or subscription. If you bought Sortes as a paid download or bought the earlier one-time Pro unlock, restore purchases in Settings to retain full lifetime access. A later App Store release may offer monthly and yearly auto-renewable Sortes Pro subscriptions; if it does, Apple will show the applicable price, billing period, renewal terms, and any introductory offer before purchase. We do not handle or store payment information. StoreKit purchase data stays with Apple.

Bug reports and support requests

If you submit a support request through the public website form, we receive the app name, category, message, submission source, timestamp, and a one-way hash of your IP address. Your email address and device information are optional. The raw IP address is processed in memory for rate limiting and is not stored in the feedback record. The submission is stored in our support database and routed through Resend to the relevant support inbox. It does not include decision history or wheel options unless you choose to type that information into the message.

Advertising and Tracking

Sortes does not show ads. It does not include any third-party advertising SDK, analytics SDK, consent SDK, or App Tracking Transparency prompt.

Decision history, wheel options, dice selections, coin results, and app settings stay on your device and are never sold, shared with advertisers, or used for cross-app tracking.

App Store Privacy Label

Sortes does not collect data through the app. The App Store privacy label for Sortes is "Data Not Collected." Sortes has no decision-data backend, no analytics SDK, and no advertising SDK, and all app data stays on your device. The optional website support form uses the separate path described above.

Data We Store On Device

Sortes stores the following data locally on your device:

  • SwiftData: decision history entries, wheel options, wheel state, app settings, first launch date, and onboarding status.
  • UserDefaults or local app storage: lightweight interface preferences and system-level state required by the app.

None of this Sortes app data is synced to any cloud service or backend. There are no user accounts.

Data We Do Not Collect Automatically

Outside information you choose to send through support, Sortes does not collect, transmit, or store any of the following:

  • Your name or phone number
  • Your email address, unless you voluntarily include it in a support request
  • Your precise GPS location
  • Contacts or calendar data
  • Browsing history
  • Decision history, except where stored locally on your device
  • Wheel options, dice selections, or coin results, except where stored locally on your device
  • App-owned analytics or usage telemetry
  • Advertising identifiers or cross-app tracking data

Data Retention

  • On-device Sortes data is retained until you delete it in the app where supported or uninstall the app.
  • App Store purchase records are retained by Apple per their policies.
  • Support requests are retained only as long as needed to respond, maintain records, and improve the app.

Data Deletion

You can delete local app data at any time:

  • Uninstall: Removing Sortes from your device deletes the locally stored SwiftData database and local preferences.
  • History controls: Use in-app history controls to clear decision history where available.

To request deletion of support data you sent to TheChosenVictor LLC, contact us at [email protected].

Your Rights

For All Users

You may:

  • Access your data by viewing history, settings, and wheels within the app.
  • Delete your local data by using available in-app controls or uninstalling the app.
  • Control your data by using the in-app history and settings controls, or by uninstalling the app to remove all local data.

European Economic Area (GDPR)

If you are located in the EEA, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation:

  • Right to access (Art. 15): request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to rectification (Art. 16): request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Right to erasure (Art. 17): request deletion of your data.
  • Right to restrict processing (Art. 18): request that we limit how we use your data.
  • Right to data portability (Art. 20): request a machine-readable copy of your data.
  • Right to object (Art. 21): object to processing of your data for certain purposes.
  • Right to withdraw consent (Art. 7): withdraw optional support contact consent by not including an email address in future support requests.

Since Sortes stores app data locally on your device with no account or decision-data backend, you already have direct control over your Sortes data. Uninstall the app to exercise your right to erasure for local app data. Contact us to exercise rights related to a support submission.

TheChosenVictor LLC acts as the data controller for the Sortes app. You may contact us at [email protected] for any GDPR-related requests.

Data Protection Contact: TheChosenVictor LLC handles privacy requests for this app. A separate Data Protection Officer is not designated for the scale and nature of the processing described here. For all data protection inquiries, contact [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.

  • Right to opt out of sale or sharing: opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information.

Children's Privacy

Sortes is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will delete it promptly.
