Overview

Kitwise ("the app") is a local-first iPhone utility for tracking emergency kit contents, storage locations, expiration dates, missing items, and local reminder schedules. No account, no ads, and no tracking. App Store privacy is configured as Data Not Collected for this version.

Kitwise is developed and operated by TheChosenVictor LLC ("we," "us," "our"). Victor Solano owns TheChosenVictor LLC.

Data Stored on Device

Kitwise stores app data locally on your device using SwiftData and UserDefaults. This may include:

  • Kit names
  • Item names
  • Categories
  • Quantities and units
  • Storage locations
  • Packed or present status
  • Expiration dates
  • Reminder lead times
  • Optional notes
  • Setup preferences, such as household size and pet options
  • Lifetime Pro purchase entitlement state

This data stays inside the app's on-device storage. TheChosenVictor LLC does not operate a Kitwise backend and cannot view, recover, or edit your kit contents.

Local Notifications

Kitwise can schedule local reminders with Apple's UserNotifications framework. These reminders may cover expiration dates, expired items, and recurring kit checks. Reminder scheduling happens on your device. No reminder payload is sent to a Kitwise server.

You can disable Kitwise notifications at any time in the app or in iOS Settings.

Purchases

Lifetime Pro purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit. Kitwise does not process payment cards or billing credentials directly. Purchase entitlement state may be stored locally so the app can unlock Pro features.

No Account, Ads, Tracking, Analytics, or Backend

Kitwise does not use:

  • Accounts
  • Advertising SDKs
  • AppTrackingTransparency prompts
  • Third-party analytics SDKs
  • A Kitwise backend

The app does not sell personal information and does not share kit contents for advertising.

Data We Do Not Collect

TheChosenVictor LLC does not collect or receive:

  • Your name, email address, or phone number through the app
  • Your kit names or item names
  • Your storage locations or notes
  • Your expiration dates or reminder schedules
  • Advertising identifiers
  • Analytics events
  • Precise location
  • Photos, contacts, calendars, health data, or emergency documents

If you contact support by email or through the public website support form, we receive the information you choose to send so we can respond.

Data Retention and Deletion

On-device Kitwise data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app. Uninstalling Kitwise removes app-local data from that device. Because there is no Kitwise account or backend, TheChosenVictor LLC cannot restore deleted local data.

Apple retains purchase records according to Apple's own policies.

Emergency and Safety Disclaimer

Kitwise is a kit tracking and reminder utility. It is not an emergency advice app, warning system, rescue service, disaster-response platform, or substitute for current instructions from qualified local authorities.

Children's Privacy

Kitwise is a general-audience utility and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
