Your image and metadata stay in this browser. The page accepts one JPEG, PNG, or WebP file up to 25 MB and 32 megapixels.

Clean image

A verified fresh copy appears here after processing.

Removing metadata does not hide faces, text, reflections, landmarks, or anything visible in the pixels. Review the image itself before sharing it.

How it works

  1. Choose one JPEG, PNG, or WebP image. Its bounded header is validated before the page parses selected EXIF and GPS fields.
  2. Choose an output format, quality, and maximum dimension. The browser draws the decoded pixels onto a fresh canvas and creates a new file.
  3. The new file is checked again. Download stays locked unless the selected metadata fields and GPS data are absent.

Limits

  • One local file at a time, up to 25 MB, 32 megapixels, 16,384 pixels on either edge, and a 100:1 aspect ratio.
  • Outputs above 16 megapixels require resizing so the fresh canvas copy stays reliable on iPhone and Safari.
  • Supported input and output formats are JPEG, PNG, and WebP. HEIC conversion is planned separately and is not part of this tool.
  • The preview covers selected EXIF identification, capture, software, description, copyright, and GPS fields. XMP and proprietary metadata are not included in the preview, and the second check is not a forensic guarantee about every possible image segment.
  • Metadata removal does not obscure visible people, text, reflections, landmarks, or other clues in the pixels.
  • VaultSnap is the better fit for ongoing encrypted photo storage on iPhone.
