App Review Rejection Decoder

Guidelines read 2026-08-22

The text stays in this browser. Nothing is uploaded, stored, or sent anywhere. Remove account credentials and customer data before pasting, the same as you would in any shared report.

This decode reads the guideline numbers your message cites and shows what each one asks for. It does not predict whether App Review will accept a resubmission, and it is not legal advice.

Guidelines covered here

23 of the guidelines behind most rejections. Apple’s full list is longer; every entry links to its section.

How it works

  1. Paste the Resolution Center message. The text stays in this browser and the guideline numbers are read out of it locally.
  2. Each cited guideline opens with Apple’s own section title, what it asks for in plain terms, and what usually causes that rejection.
  3. Work the fix list. Green items have a yes-or-no answer you can check before resubmitting. Blue items need someone to make a call.

Limits

  • This is a reference, not a prediction. It cannot tell you whether App Review will accept a resubmission, and it is not legal advice.
  • It matches a number only when the word “guideline” precedes it, so a message that never cites one returns nothing. That is deliberate: a bare “2.1” also appears in version strings and prices.
  • It covers the guidelines behind most rejections, not all of Apple’s. A cited guideline it does not carry is reported as uncovered rather than quietly dropped.
  • Apple changes the guidelines. Every entry carries the date its section title was read and links to the live section.
